This is what happens when an Avatar fan is also a kpop/kdrama fan. ^___^

While and after i created Jang Geun Suk as Tahno, i wanted to make more Korean actor/singer castings for Legend of Korra characters.

in my personal casting, i used 2PM's Taecyeon (not to be confused with SNSD's Taeyeon who played Asami in my casting). I originally wasn't planning to draw Iroh II but after thinking about leaving Korra last in the series, I'd need more people to draw.

Why Taecyeon? When I first saw Iroh II, all i could think about was Dante's voice. Nothing else. Casting Iroh II as a Korean celebrity didnt come to me very fast. Actually the guys I listed were on debate between using them for Iroh II or for Mako. Iroh II's character didnt even remind me of any Korean guys. So i based my decision on his looks. As i studied Iroh II's face, i noticed his cheeks and jaw area are very sunk in compared to the other characters around the same age. It's like he's older than he probably is. But those marks reminded me of a celeb (which is Taecyeon) who had similar sunk in cheeks near the dimples area.

The sunk-in cheeks isn't very apparent in the reference picture i used but if u google around, u can tell it screams Iroh II. The pic i chose shows an essence of command and authority that Iroh II has.

I DO admit his golden eyes make him look like a Twilight vampire......
